I Just Want to Finish

What motivated you to get your GED degree? I have tried this several times, but as I get older, I just want to finish it. I have allowed others to pull me down in life. Now I want to fly high with the birds. I know if I put my mind to it, I can and I will do this.

How have your friends and family helped you? My daughter has inspired me the most. She is the love of my life. She is attending a college, holding a 98.4 grade average, and her strength is just so remarkable. I want so much to make her as proud of me as I am of her.

What problems have you faced? I have a really hard time with math and social studies. I have to write the information several times in order for me to remember it. I just can’t seem to retain it, no matter how hard I work at it.

What do you hope to gain from getting your GED degree? I want to lift my self esteem, and go on to college. I want to be more in life than just a high school drop out. I want to show my family that I loved myself enough to make a difference in my life.
