Proving Them Wrong

I was a very good student in school. I made it to the 12th grade before I dropped out. I did not want to quit going to school, but my dad got sick and was dying from cancer. I took care of him when his nurses couldn’t be there.

I want to make a difference in my children’s lives. My parents watched my three children for me before while I went to my classes. I have three kids, and I really hope that by seeing their mom go through school, it will help encourage them to stay in school.

I’ve been told that I can’t pass the GED, because I was nothing but a failure. I am proving that person wrong. I want to further my education, so I can better myself for my children. I would like to do this so that I can get a get a job to be able to support my family.
