Why get a high school equivalency credential?
There are four good reasons.
First, once you’ve got your credential, you’ll earn more money. GED graduates earn on average $15,000 more a year. Think of what you can do with that!
The second reason is to be a good role model for your kids. Children are 3 times more likely to finish high school if their parents have. It’s that simple. So getting your credential can change your kids’ future.
Third, a high school credential opens the doors to college, career training, or vocational school. You know it’s required, but there’s more than that. What you study are the same things you’ll need to succeed in your next education step.
And fourth, but certainly not least, getting your GED will make you feel good about yourself. How many things do you do in a day that make you feel proud, that make you feel like you’re changing your future?
So what’s holding you back from making your dreams come true?
