The books only weakness is in essay writing. We would recommend supplementing this book with Contemporarys Language Art, Writing book for better writing instruction.

This is a basic study guide in all five subject areas. It includes two practice tests with analysis and lessons to improve skills in student?s weak areas. Lessons are short and direct and offer good instruction in most subject areas. Book layout and presentation is easy to follow.

The lesson format for the Science, Reading and Social Studies subject areas are excellent. Each lesson is structured in a critical thinking format and provides good instruction. The Math and Writing instruction is good. This is a good basic study guide for the GED.
