Steck-Vaughn GED Complete Preparation 2014
This is a basic GED guide in all five subject areas. It includes two GED practice tests with analysis and lessons to improve skills in students’ weak areas. Lessons are short and direct and offer good instruction in most subject areas. Book layout and presentation is easy to follow. It is a good GED guide for GED training and offers a printable GED test.
The lesson format for the Science, Reading and Social Studies subject areas are excellent. Each lesson is structured in a critical thinking format and provides good instruction. The Math and Writing instruction is good. This is a good basic study guide for the GED.
McGraw-Hill Education Preparation for the GED® Test
This comprehensive book provides excellent preparation for how to get a GED. It offers targeted assessment, easy-to-follow instruction, hundreds of reinforcement activities, and a simulated GED practice test for all five GED subject areas. Clear instruction, followed by hundreds of GED practice questions in official GED format help to build confidence. A post test for each subject is followed by a second GED Practice Test in official GED format to determine readiness for the actual test.
This is one of best overall preparation books available. It has been fully revised for the new 2002 GED tests. At almost 1200 pages, it is the most complete GED prep book available with thorough instruction in all of the five subject areas. The math section is especially good. The book’s only weakness is in essay writing. We would recommend supplementing this book with Contemporary Language Art, Writing book for better GED writing instruction.

GED Test Prep is a comprehensive guide to excelling on the GED test, with complete sections for all five test areas--GED writing, GED reading, GED social studies, GED science, and GED math--as well as guidance on new topics, such as space study, business documents, and number grids. This guide also provides a diagnostic exam, two full GED practice tests, and a complete GED online test for each subject area.
A good basic GED guide for the GED test. It provides a good study backup for online GED programs f and covers most areas needed to pass the GED Test. We would like to see more emphasis on critical thinking skills as this is crucial to passing the test, but it does include many questions using these skills and some analysis of the answers.

We highly recommend this book for the student who has been away from the classroom for more than 3 years. It will build your confidence and teach you the survival skills of learning successfully.

This is one of the most complete texts available for GED mathematics test. It is a must for the GED candidate who needs to relearn basic mathematics. The book is organized well and easy to follow. The pretest includes an evaluation chart to direct learning in the areas that the candidate needs to work on. We highly recommend this book.
Steck-Vaughn GED: Language Arts Reading
Often used as a textbook in GED reading classes, Steck Vaughn’s Language Arts, Reading is a complete course in reading. It includes pre- and post-tests for the GED Test. Included are four units included on the GED test: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. The book is a good supplement to online GED training and GED tutoring.
This is an excellent book for improving reading skill, particularly comprehension. This book will be helpful for the GED candidate who needs to improve their reading skills and use of language. We highly recommend it.
Steck-Vaughn GED: Test Preparation Student Edition Reasoning Through Language Arts 2014
This book provides instruction for Part I of the GED Writing Test, editing and proofreading documents. The text covers the basics of English usage, sentence structure, organization and mechanics. The organization is clear and concise.
This is one of the best texts available for English usage and mechanics for GED test prep. We like it because it explains the material in easy to understand language. It includes both a pre- and post- GED pre test and can be used as a printable GED test.
