The lesson format for the Science, Reading and Social Studies subject areas are excellent. Each lesson is structured in a critical thinking format and provides good instruction. The Math and Writing instruction is good. This is a good basic study guide for the GED.

McGraw-Hill’s GED

Review:

This is one of best overall preparation books available. It has been fully revised for the new 2002 GED tests. At almost 1200 pages, it is the most complete GED prep book available with thorough instruction in all of the five subject areas. The math section is especially good. The book’s only weakness is in essay writing. We would recommend supplementing this book with Contemporary Language Art, Writing book for better writing instruction.
