¡Hola! I called this blog GED Ahora, because I think it’s important to make the GED a priority, to say you’re getting it right now! If you don’t start to get your GED now, will you ever? It’s so easy to put things off…

The GED is the future, and if you don’t plan your future, who knows where you’ll end up? I mean, I never thought I’d be 22 years old and a single mom with a little boy. It seems like I didn’t think about anything when I was younger and dropped out of school. I didn’t protect myself from getting pregnant. I didn’t pick a very good daddy for my Roberto. I didn’t think about how I’d pay for school and clothes and food.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Roberto. He’s the joy of my life, and I thank God for him all the time. But that’s why I’ve got to start making good choices and planning for the future. I need to be the grownup mom, now.

I decided, I’m going to be a nurse. That way, I can help people, and I can support myself and Roberto. Good plan, right? But I’ve got to start by getting my GED. Now! ¡Ahora!

I put this blog together to help me keep on track, and to talk about getting your GED and getting your life together. I’ll keep posting what I’m doing, and hopefully everyone will get good information and get inspired to get their GED, too. No matter who you are, you can do it!
