What event from your childhood taught you an important lesson that you use today?

An event from my child that taught me an important lesson, would be to strive to excell.
As a child growing up, I didn't feel excepted. I always felt as if, I didn't belong with in certain social group. I felt small, I felt like my voice just wasn't loud enough. With this, I began to have low self esteem. Since my voice "in my opinon seemed very quite", I began to act out. I lashed out at anyone that cared anything for me. In addition I was still the same old quite person, stuggling to have my voice heard. Since I didn't have hardly any female friends; I decided to have male friends in stead. From that I met a man, had a relationship, had sex, then became pregnant. At first I was nervous about telling my mother. I just knew I had to. When I told my mother, she gave me an option to stay in school or drop out. I decided to drop out. Now seven years later I sit here, and try to complete my GED. The most important lesson I was taught, was to excell when theres little room to achive.

I had to stop tell me what you think so far. I feel that I rambled on and on. LOL, tell me what you think PLEASE.

Please send it to my email LIZ I dont have a computer at home, but I could check the info on my cell.
