I identify, so much with the first paragraph,I cannot in the right mind understand any word problems, maybe the is easy ones, however, word problems play with my mind ,the questions are confusing and I cannot figure them out. Please help me.

I thank you for being here. I’m 48 years old, I finally took the ged and passed everything but the math, I knew I was failing while I was taking it, those horrible word problems are so confusing. I couldn’t do them in high school and still can’t. I’m taking the test again and I know i’ll pass it this time with the help of this site and links to more help. And then I will get a promotion at work!

i looked this website up because i think that since i am taking my ged this week it will help me with my math part of the test since that is my only struggle.

Look my only problem with this whole G.E.D test are the word problems that involve measurements and precentages….. They stump me really bad and I just get so frustrated and give up on it…I need some advice on how to solve these problems…They really confuse me and the more and more I try the more frustrated I get at myself cause I just cannont solve them….If someone could give me some advice it would be much appreciated.
