My name is Fadumo. I am from Somalia. I have 9 children. My dream is to have a GED, and after that I want to be a nurse. I want the good future.
Fadumo,
It’s a big change coming from Somalia to the U.S., and there are a lot of adjustments. The GED is a great first step in your U.S. education, and becoming a nurse is a great opportunity for your future. The health care industry always needs more workers, and nurses are in demand. Plus, it’s a way to help others in need, and that’s good for all of us.
Getting the GED isn’t really that hard. You’ll need to brush up on some reading, writing, and math skills, but this will also help you prepare for your career training in nursing. With 9 children, you must lead a busy life! The GED Academy can help, because you can learn at home, at your own pace, without worrying about childcare or transportation. Another great place to look for information is the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. They have information on local adult education programs near you. Your GED will open a path to many opportunities… and it’s definitely something you can achieve!
