I’m disabled and have to find some kind of life. I dropped out of school in the 10th grade. I want my GED to start a career. My dream is to get my GED.
Thomas,
You can get your GED… and it makes all the difference. When a person earns a GED, we often see that that person becomes more confident. More proud. More able to see their own abilities. It opens up new doors, not just because more employers will be willing to hire you, not just because you can go to college. It opens new doors in your mind. Instead of saying “I can’t,” we find people saying “I can.” Because the GED is something you earn, and it shows you that you have the ability to learn and succeed.
Congratulations on taking this step, on announcing that the GED is what you want. Now it’s time to earn your GED. You can do it, with the right tools. If you’re in Long Prairie, Minnesota, the state department of education has some information for you to get started at http://education.state.mn.us/MDE/Learning_Support/Adult_Basic_Education_GED/GED/index.html. But get started now… you won’t regret it.
