I dropped out of school in the 7th grade thinking that I was bad…
Name:Â Â Â Â Lakeshia H
Well, my name is Keshia and I dropped out of school in the 7th grade thinking that I was bad and I did not need school. Well now I am 23 with no GED and I am trying to go in the military and I took the ASVAB test and got a 07 out of 99, and I was so hurt I cried and that was so embarrassing, so now I am studying to get my GED now and I am so happy. I have faith in the lord so this is to the people that think they can’t make it. Pray to the lord and he shall answer.
Reason for Leaving School:Â I left school because I thought that no one loved me. I did not have a mother or father, but now I realize my father is the man above.
Reason to Get a GED:Â My hope and dream is to get my GED, go into the military and open up an outreach center for young girls that need help.
One Thing I Need for My Dreams:Â My dream that I would like to come to reality is to get a tutor and help me study because I am lost.
I just want to thank my Lord and Christ cause without him I could not do anything.
Keshia,
You’ve got a bit of catching up to do, since you dropped out of school so young. But you can do it. You’re on the right track, and that means having confidence in the gifts you were granted. Your mind is your most precious gift, and you’ve been given the gift to be able to improve it. You can improve your thinking skills and learn what you need to know. You can earn the chance to do whatever you want in life. Reaching out for help and finding the right program to learn what you need to know is the first step. Then, you have to keep with it. Stay on the path to success.
Don’t let any obstacles stop you. Have faith in yourself and your abilities, just as you have faith in a Creator who gave you those abilities. And come back and tell us when you’ve reached your goal.

Im in the same situation Sorta. Im 15 going on 16 and currently in the 7th grade. Supposed to be in 10th though.I had been retained in the first grade, last school year I found out that I had failed 7th. I was crushed. I didn’t want to go to school so I didn’t go. This year I decided to enroll in an online school im planning on doing it this year and next year. From there I plan to go to thus high school that helps people that are behind try to catch up.
I will be 21 by the time I graduate.
