If I could have done it, you can too.
Name:Â Â Â Â Jessy
Age: Â Â Â 18
City and State: Â Â Â Newark, NJ
My name is Jessy, I am 18 years old, and I have had so many struggles, and pain in my past. When I was 14, I finally just started high school, and then I got pregnant. I gave birth at 15 years old, and started actually feeling like a 50 year old. I wanted to get my life straightened out, and the state of New Jersey took my name off as my daughter’s legal guardian. I was broken in and out. For as a child having a child, I didn’t know what to do at the while. Finally when I turned 17, I joined the program of Edison Job Corps. I started preparing for my GED. I always have told to myself, that I can’t do it. I took the GED 4 times to pass it. I know my story has nothing to do with this, but i just have to tell my story to someone. And even though I didn’t take my test online, but I always studied online, and it did help me. I just want to tell everyone who is reading this, no matter who you are, what you are, how old you are… IT DOES NOT MATTER! YOU COULD DO IT. If I could have done it, you can too. I really hope this story of mine helps someone. Thank You, and have a blessed day.
Reason for Leaving School:Â I got pregnant, and no one wanted me in their home.
Reason to Get a GED:Â I wanted my GED because I wanted to live big instead of dreaming big. I want to give my daughter the life, that I wanted while i was growing up. And it was real hard, and I am not putting my baby girl through that.
One Thing I Need for My Dreams:Â Money. That is what I need to help my and my daughter’s dream.
