I still don’t like school.

Filed under: Children and Families, Fear of Failure, GED Students — September 24, 2008 @ 1:20 pm

Hi, I am 18 years old and am living with my mom. I have a daughter and am expecting another one by Dec. And I don’t know what to do. Can you help me? I left school when I was in 10th, too. And I am afraid of not doing my best in the test. I have not enrolled yet but still am afraid.

I left school when I was 17. The reason is because I flunked 2 times.  I did not like school. I still don’t like school. And also because I got pregnant too.

I want to get my GED because I want to be someone for my family for my dauther and for myself, too. I want to do something good in life. I want to show my kids a better example so in the future they won’t be asking me or telling me they did not want to go to school. They are following my example if you know what i mean?

I want to become a nurse. I want to go to college and do something. I want my family to be proud of what I am and what am going to be.

A lot of people who drop out didn’t like school! We’re not surprised. The good news is, you don’t need to go to “school” to study for the GED. You can prepare at home, in the way that’s best for you. In fact, that’s why we made The GED Academy prep program. We made it specifically to help people who didn’t like school and are scared of failing. People like you.

You don’t need to memorize a lot of facts to pass the GED. What you need to learn is really a lot simpler. You need to learn some basic thinking skills, writing skills, and math skills. There’s nothing to be afraid of, because you can learn at your own pace, go as fast as you want and take as much time as you need. Focus on the level that’s most comfortable for you. You’ll actually learn quicker, because you control the pace. You can learn more by calling 1-888-880-2164.

If our program isn’t right for you, find one that is. Everyone can get their GED. There’s no reason to be afraid. You’re doing this for yourself, for your future, and for your kids.

Just getting started is the hardest part. When you pass, you’ll be glad you overcame your fear and took the first step!
