I am single, I don’t work cause it’s hard. It is only my mother and I, and my children never know my father and home care is my goal. Please help and tell me what to do. My reading is weak, and that is why am here now to get help.I was told not to come back to school. I did not finish for so I had wanted to finish. I want my GED so I can get my goal, I am trying to get a home career. My dream is to get my GED paper because that’s all I need now.

Verdella,

Reading skills are a stumbling block for a lot of people who need their GED. You’ll need to do some reading practice, and we recommend just starting to read anything that you enjoy, something that’s not too difficult. Make reading a habit, and read some every day.

Our program is created for people who need help reading. The teachers and students in our GED prep program talk to you, and long passages of text are always read aloud so that you can listen, in addition to reading. This helps you improve your reading skills quickly, because you can hear what you’re reading. Plus, it helps you learn the skills you need for the GED.

If you’re interested in our program, please visit http://www.passGED.com for more information, or call 1-888-880-2164 to talk to someone in person.

Good luck! You can pass!

I dropped out of school at 17 and i thought it would be so hard to get my GED but for people that are worried… i wouldnt be. If you know how to fluently speak the english language, then you will be fine. I just got my test results in the mail and i passed with flying colors. On the day of the test i had a salad and an apple and water, i wouldnt have any caffiene on the day of the test because then you will get so jumpy and want to get out. I was suprised on how easy this was for instance on the IK test form of science there is a question that states what is an open rupture through the earth that hot molten rock through the earths surface. 1. river 2. mountain 3. volcano. 4. earthquake or 5. air. Now the answer is 3, and I thought that was a joke or a trick question but that is seriously how simple every question is. don’t worry you will pass. To pass the Battery (essay) keep it simple. Know when to use your commas, and period’s, and stay away from run-on’s. I had a question “When was the first experience of becoming an adult”. If your worried about math, it’s all hype. The state wants your money so they scare you to make u fail, so they can get more money. Now I didn’t have to pay for my test. Find a local community college that will help you prep because they paid for it for me. I did well on this test and i hope you do too. Good luck!
