Hi. My name is Lamont Terrence Hammond. I am a 28 year old male. I left school because I was 21 years old. Because the school see I was ready for this world. I feel like getting some education & getting a better paying job. I hope to be a computer technician, and get a better future for my children. My dream is getting a better education. I hope to hear from you soon.

Lamont,

It’s hard to get a better job without a high school diploma! That’s the problem millions of Americans face. The good news is that the GED exists to help you out. The government originally created the GED to help soldiers who missed out on high school to go fight. Soon, they realized the GED could help lots of people who didn’t finish high school for many reason. The GED is a second chance, to get a better job and move forward in life.

And you CAN get a GED. A lot of people are discouraged because they didn’t do well in school, but with good preparation, you can learn the skills you need to pass the GED test. You need to make a commitment…to say: “I’m going to do this. I’m not going to let anything stop me.” Then, find a study program or class that will help you learn! The hardest part for a lot of people is getting started. But once you pass, you’ll be glad you made the commitment.
