It’s very hard to start school again…
I have two kids that need my help on homework, and every day it’s a headache when I don’t understand one thing. I left school in 1993. My mom was very sick and needed my support.
I want to have my GED to get a small career. I would like to travel and enjoy living a better life. It’s very hard to start school again after so much time has passed.

Maria,
Thank you for sharing your story! It is hard to start school again after many years, but it can be an inspiration to your children and it can also inspire you to do things you never thought you could. The GED doesn’t have to be like going to school… it can be easy to fit studying into your schedule. Find a study program that you can really understand and that you can fit into your life. Depending on your children’s ages, you can try setting aside study time for yourself when your children are studying and doing homework, too. You might find that your children and you can work together when one of you needs help, and you might all do better. And when you get your GED, come back and tell us more about your story!
