To show my daughter that no matter when you fall, you can always get back up…

I am a single mother who has not furthered her education. At this point in my life I am currently struggling to get a job because I do not have my GED. I have no money to support my family. The only reason why we are getting by is because of my mother’s help.

I left school in 2001, which was my sophomore year in High School. I left school because I was pregnant, and the father of my child chose not to help me. So since then I’ve been working until a few months ago when I moved to Georgia.

I want to get my GED to prove to myself and any young women that it’s never too late to accomplish your goals and reach your dreams. To show my daughter that no matter when you fall, you can always get back up. I want to have a career and be able to support my family, have a beautiful house and car. Getting my GED wiil put me on the road to getting all this accomplished.

One of things that could start making my dream a reality is getting this Grant to get my GED. It would be a new start to putting me on the right path, and I will continue from there.

Whether I get this Grant or not I’m going to continue to get all my dreams and goals accoplished. However getting this Grant will be greatly appreciated. It would mean so much to not just me, my daughter, and family. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

Melissa,

Thanks for sharing your story! If you’re interested in a GED Academy financial aid grant, it’s very simple to apply. Go to http://www.passged.com/online_courses.php and click on “Apply for Financial Aid.” It will ask your income level and tell you instantly if you’re approved. The GED Academy financial aid grant applies to the cost of The GED Academy passGED Study Program. Hope this information helps! Stick with it… you’ve got a great goal, and you’ll get to a much better place for yourself and your daughter!
