I also failed the math part of the ged with a 380. I have a really hard time getting the hang of math as it was the worst part of school for me, I am 46 yrs old and really want this, but its just not sticking in my head. I don’t know what I will do if I fail this up coming test in Nov.

I also failed the math with a 400 so i decided to also take the science over to get more points so ill just need a 410 on my math ratrher than a 420 I just took both parts over i find out friday if i passed please pray foe me!!!!

hi i went yesterday to retake my ged math is my promblem as well thie is my 4th time at this im 37 years old and it is really important to me to get my ged i did notice that i was not giving the whole math test over i guess i was only tested on the part i failed i only need 20 points to pass if i dont get the points this time i will keep trying untill i get it i like some of you just really want this chapter in my life to close my question is do they combine your score or do you have to score410 on the part that you retake good luck to everyone.

I must comment. Last year I went to take my exam and passed everything but math on my first try. I went back immediately, and failed but improved 50 points. I went back a month later and failed. At this point, nothing was going to stop me. April of this year I went again, failed. Still, nothing was going to stop me from getting this GED. Sep, of this year I went to take the test. This is what I did different…I didn’t “think” it was a test. I kept saying “I had to go and do some evaulation of my finiacial status” in life…and what do you know?! I got a call from school, I PASSED! Moral of the story, DON’T GIVE UP! Think of it differently…don’t think its a GED and its SOMETHING YOU MUST NEED IN LIFE! I passed with more points than I needed! I’m sooooo happy for myself!

Tia, don’t just take the math test again. Find out what it is you’ve been missing in the past tests. Have you been studying enough? How have you been studying? Try different methods in your studies to help you understand math better. If you keep trying the same thing over and over, and it keeps not working, you need to change your methods. Good luck! You’ve got a whole month to study. You can do it if you focus on what you really need to pass!

I’m going CRAZY!!!!! I been taking the GED for 2 years. I’m not a good test taker but I took the math test 4 times. And when I passed it, my score wasn’t high enough. As mad, embarrassed & ashamed as I was I decided to retake the whole test. And when I did I score an 2240!!! I got an 460 on Language Arts/Reading. 530 on Language Arts/Writing. 400 on Mathematics. An 410 on Science & 440 on Social Studies. So ima retake the Math test, becuz I wanna start college sooooooo BAD. I wanna move to Orlando in Jan but I have to have everything done by Oct by is take 4-6 weeks for the scores to come back. And the next Math test date is Sept 14!!! And when I take it I’m just pray and hope I can go to start school, I tired of just sitining home doin nothin. I’m about to turn 19 in 2 weeks. I just don’t know!!!!!

I failed my GED Math 4 times now My score still stays at 390 I have to pass with 410, is there anyway I can take just the math part of the GED Prep Course or do I still have to take the other courses if I decide to enroll in your GED Course?

~ i got the same EXACT score on my math part too, i got the news today. and its also the only and last part that i need. i did get extended part on mines but i still like needed 6 last ones that i was forced to take an educated guess on because of the time crunch.
Im so glad Im not alone, i thought i was the only one somehow that only had the math part left to finish. After Im done Im planning on becoming Nurse,NAVYReserves, or dentist, or dentist assistant.

I failed the math part of my GED like four times and I know im not dumb it’s just that math is so difficult for me to comprehend literally. I just really want this chapter in my life behind me. somebody please help me!
