The GED is basically a test that you take at a testing center to get a GED credential, accepted just like a high school diploma by employers, colleges, the military, and police academies all over the country. You can't take the GED test online, but you can study for the test online. The GED qualifies you for a lot more jobs... maybe you already know all that. There are 5 tests on the GED...reading, writing, social science, science, and math. For the writing test, you need to write a 45-minute essay, plus take a multiple-choice test. All the other tests are multiple choice, except there are some questions on the math test that you need to write in an answer.
