I have been working the same job for five years and I want to get my GED and eventually get into nursing school.
I was supposed to graduate as a junior but just before graduation a teacher and I had a problem over one of my finals, she wouldn’t let me graduate. I then moved to a different town, I tried a computer schooling program but it was never properly set up.
I want so badly to get back into school, I work in the medical field and I want to a surgical nurse.
My biggest dream right now is just getting my GED.
This is my story! For years I struggled to find out what held me back from moving forward. I’m almost always in-between jobs, not establish, accomplish or finish what I started. I have big dreams. I’m studying to be a cosmetologist
There is not a whole lot to tell. I quit school way back. Got married had kids, the same old story
I left school out of being lazy@16
I want my boys to succeed & get their education
My dream is to get the GED.
I am now a single parent my husband recently passed away. I have a nine year old son and I need to take the best care of him that I can.
I got pregnant at age 16. I tried staying in school, working and raising my child but it was too much so school lost.
I want to be able to get a better job that has security and good benefits. I am on my own now and need to do the best I can for our future.
My goal is just being able to get my life back on track and becoming refocused. I am in the process of buying a house and doing the move.
I left High School back in 2003. I was Junior at that time, had difficulties with studies and so my grade was really low due to the status that I gone through. My first priority was work and the family; basically low income was the cause and my family’s situation at the time.
I work as a shipping manager, but that is not the career that I’m up for. My jobs pay stub is low. I want to pursue my GED and go right for College. My goal is to go for business-accounting. I believe that hard work and the hours that I’m putting to my study should payoff.
I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I grew up with my father and stepmother. My mother and sister moved to Switzerland when I was 6 years old. I was a great student all through elementary school and middle school. I got straight A’s until I reached 9th grade. I started goofing around in High School. I was more concentrated on being cool. To make a long story short I got arrested in Canada in the summer of 2000, for drug smuggling. My father didn’t want anything to do with me anymore so I left the country to go live with my mother and sister in Switzerland (which I hadn’t spoken to for 9 years). School ends here when you are 16, so since I didn’t have the money to go to a private school, my education was officially finished. I started working odd jobs over here and I noticed that without any formal education written on paper, it doesn’t matter how smart you are. Nobody cares in the real world. So, now I’m trying to get my life back together. I finally saved enough money to go to a culinary school here in Luzerne, Switzerland but I need a high school diploma in order to enroll. That’s my story…..
I had a hard time staying in the school and away from drugs while I was still in the public school. Though I hated to go to school and to listen to teachers I still wanted to graduate. So, here I am, no teachers, no school and still able to get the equivalence of a diploma.
Early spring of ‘05 I was told by the principle that there was no possibility of me passing any of my classes at that point and told me I might as well stay home for the rest of the trimester. So I did, and I never went back.
I fought hard against mental and physical struggles. I over came depression, addiction, and surgical procedures. I’ve been to hell and back and now I want to help others that struggle were I struggled.
A need little more help in math so I can finally pass my GED
I am a mother of three. I have worked in the escrow and mortgage business for the last 15 years. I also help my husband Don with his home improvement business from home.
My parents went through a divorce and it made life really hard in school and at home.
I have always enjoyed school. It really has bothered me over the years that I did not have my diploma. Now I would like to get into some high paying jobs and really need my GED. I have received a cosmetology license and a certificate in accounting over the last 20 years. And now I really need to get serious for retirement years.
My dream is to focus and set a 6 month goal to getting my GED completed.
Life sometimes does not go exactly how you plan it. But with determination and setting everyday goals, you can achieve anything!
I’m an animal lover and I enjoy spending time with my 5 month old son.
4 years ago I left school because kids always treated me bad and school didn’t matter as much as taking care of my family because my mom left us almost 10 years ago.
I want to get a GED because I hope to one day give my son the best and also to be comfortable living on my own knowing I can pay my bills as they come
My dream is a steady job.
I hope that I have what it takes to live in a world that’s far more advanced than me.
I wasn’t gonna get my GED, but then I realized I wasn’t going anywhere with no education. Right now I’m disabled so it gives me time to study. Hopefully when I get better I will get my GED then go to school. This working at home is really helping me because I could study at my own pace and not have to worry about if I go to the classes not being able to follow along at there pace.
I left school because I was having a lot of personal problems with the classmates at my school and I just couldn’t comprehend or focus on what was going on with school.
I want to get a GED because I want to have an education and go to college to do something with my future.
I just want to be able to work and do what I want.
