I want to be a nurse

Hi. I got three kids and always wanted to be a nurse from when I was a little kid. I’m a single mom, and the oldest is 6, so I’m thinkin I can go to school in a couple of years when all the kids are in school. If I get my GED now with a home study computer class, then I’ll be ready.

I quit school in the 10th grade when I got pregnant with my oldest. Wasn’t much choice. They’ve been takin up most of my time since, so now I’m thinkin I can do something I should a before, get an education.

I’m kind a scared about goin back to school. Seems like I forgot how to do it, its been so long. But I guess itll come back to me.

I think nursing would be a good job for me because I like to help people. I work in a nursing home now, but I think a hospital would be better. So that’s my story. Lannie Nordstrang.

I just got my GED on the first try. I was so afraid of failing. I did the review class, a couple of times….then I bought a GED prep book from Barnes and Noble. Passed it, it is now history. I’d advise anyone to do it….don’t be afraid. I too was in most of all yalls shoes, and felt the same way. I’m looking foward to my future….moving forward and never looking back. I lived 5 years of fear from obtaining my GED, fear of failing. Finally I came to the conclusion, I will not live in fear. I refuse to let fear run my life. Cause it will only hold you back from what you want to do. Or make the money you want to make or get your dream job.

Believe in yourself!! Don’t let anyone tell you a GED is different from a HS Diploma. Because it is not.
