Mathematics Courses
Learning About Numbers
Learning About Numbers covers the basics of number operations and number sense, including: percents, fractions, decimals, word problem strategies, and percentage and interest solutions. Start with this basic math course to build a strong foundation of math skills.
Understanding Data and Measurement
The Understanding Data and Measurement course covers measurement, both customary and metric, data analysis, probability, graphs, and charts. You’ll learn the basics of computing simple probability, how to interpret and solve problems in statistics, and how to use graphs and charts in problem solving. This is a practical application course that will benefit you in many ways.
Basic Geometry and Algebra
The Basic Geometry and Algebra course will teach you the fundamentals in these two math areas. The algebra lessons cover integers, variables and algebraic expressions, equations, exponents and roots, factors, functions, and graphs. The geometry lessons cover perimeter and area, volume, lines and angles, and both regular and irregular figures. The lessons are designed to apply to your common sense and will make even the most abstract concepts concrete and understandable.
Solving Word Problems in Geometry
Solving Word Problems in Geometry is an interactive math course on the basics of solving word problems in Geometry and Measurement. Watch Dwayne, Jesse, and Sherman solve practical GED type problems around the house. See if you can outsmart Sherman.
Language Arts Reading Courses
Reading Literature Fundamentals
Reading Literature Fundamentals covers basic GED questions in poetry, drama, prose, non-fiction, critical review, and workplace and community documents. In this course you'll develop important skills in critical thinking. You will learn how to interpret, apply, analyze, and evaluate basic literature passages successfully.
Advanced Reading Fundamentals
Advanced Reading covers more advanced GED questions in poetry, drama, prose, non-fiction, critical review, and workplace and community documents. This course includes both Teaching and Practice Questions to prepare you for the GED tests. Both reading courses will develop important skills in critical thinking that are emphasized on the reading, science, and social studies GED tests. You will master the skills of interpreting, application, analysis, and evaluation.
