GED Math Success Story

Math Success! We heard again from Zaher, who started out believing that he couldn’t even do simple math, like multiplication and division. Now he’s mastering the toughest GED math, and you can, too. Here’s his letter:

Hello dear Curtis:

Well, first I’d like to thank you all for everything taught in this great course and for the great motivation you have provided to me when you have published my GED story to all of your subscribers. In fact, I was surprised when I started to read one of the newsletters I usually receive from GED-Academy as a subscriber when I realized that the GED story was mine.

I admit, I was a little bit sceptical about the GED stories I have read on your website for people like me but it’s different now …

Regarding the Math which is the hardest and the most frightening part of the GED test as many people around the world think, I can say it was the most enjoyable and helpful experience for me!

Like you said Curtis, I have done as great as I did in the earlier units. I have got 47 correct answers out of 55 for the first attempt of the Unit Review “Math”. For the wrong ones, there are at least 5 of them due to speedy answers and less attention paid to the question.

I have also attempted the interactive course provided on CD-ROM on Geometry and Measurement, and got 85% correct answers. This course is not only helpin’ me out, it’s also changed my life and the way I  think!

I wish you all the best ,
Zaher Gharibi

GED Math: Formulas from Word Problems

Adding Different Metric Units

The metric system can be difficult for GED students to deal with, if they’re not used to using it in their everyday life. Most American students know how to deal with inches and feet, but what do you do about kilometers and meters? Read Curtis’s advice on adding different metric units.

Do you have any questions? Do you need more explanations? Are you having trouble with a specific math question, or an area of math? Be sure to contact Curtis to ask for math help.
