Greetings!
This is Liza Williams at The GED Academy. We’ve got a lot of practice questions and advice on passing every part of the GED. But first, here’s a GED story from one of our students. She’s on her way to college… and you can be, too… quicker than you might think!
A GED Academy student success story:
My story is unusual compared to most people’s. I need a GED for a couple of equally important reasons.
I looked on the web and found passged.com. I was really excited and hopeful that I could actually accomplish some thing this big.
Because I was educated at home for nearly my whole life, I was not able to obtain a high school diploma.
My first reason for getting the GED is so that I can take courses in college, or at a university. What I want to study includes animal actors, animals who assist disabled people, and endeavor dogs. Then I can be an animal trainer. I want to train animals in a number of different areas. Endeavor dogs rescue people who are trapped in rubble from earthquakes and other disasters.
The other reason I have to get the GED is so that I can stay in Australia with my parents. This is not a problem for me yet, as I’m not 17 until next month, but if I turn 18 before or after the immigration process, then I won’t be allowed to stay here as their dependant. However, if I am enrolled in a university, and my parents are paying for it, I will be allowed to stay here as a dependant after age 18. But I need my GED to get into college or university.
Now I am spending most of my time preparing for the GED. I really want to be like my aunt, who trained dogs that rescued people in Oklahoma City. Passged.com gives me encouragement, so I know I can do it.
In five years from now, I will be training animals to save people all over the world.
