Delaware awards the Delaware State Board of Education Endorsement high school equivalency credential to candidates who pass the GED exams in Delaware.
The GED testing fee in Delaware is $75 for all five tests, and the GED test is available in English and Spanish. The Delaware GED can be taken at any of the Delaware Official GED Testing Centers. Be sure to check specific testing information with your local GED test center, since fees, schedules, test languages, and other requirements may vary.

Delaware GED Practice Test
The best way to make sure you pass the Delaware GED test is to be prepared. If you think you’re ready for the test, or if you want to know what to study, you should take a GED practice test. Delaware requires you to take an Official Practice Test and pass with a minimum score of 470 per test before you take the GED exam. Taking a practice test in advance can improve your GED scores. Delaware GED Testing Eligibility
To take the GED test in Delaware, you must live or work in the state of Delaware. You must either be at least 18 years old, or be at least 16 and have proof showing that you are no longer in school and have permission to take the GED test. Contact your local test center for more information. Before you can take the GED exam, you must pass an Official Practice Test at a test center. The fee for the Official Practice Test is $35.

Delaware GED: College Eligibility
More than 60 percent of GED test-takers plan to go on to college. The GED exam can help you get there. Ninety-eight percent of colleges and universities in the U.S. accept the GED credential, though some colleges require additional tests, such as the SAT or the ACE. Check with the admissions offices of the colleges you’re interested in for their requirements. Beware of online high school degrees that colleges won’t accept.
Delaware GED Retesting
If you took the DE GED test and did not pass, you don’t have to take the whole test again, just the parts you did not pass. You’ll keep your highest score, even if you retest and get a lower score. Before you test again, it’s a good idea to go back and study, to make sure that you’re prepared. The state of Delaware requires that you wait 45 days before testing again, and you can’t retest for one subject before taking all the parts of the test. The cost to retest in Delaware is $25 per subject.

Delaware GED Testing Accommodations
You may ask for testing accommodations for physical or mental issues that may affect your ability to take the test, including learning disabilities, ADHD, psychiatric or psychological conditions, and physical/chronic health conditions. You will need relevant medical or academic records and a current evaluation of your condition by a doctor or psychologist, plus a detailed letter or report from your evaluator. You will also need to fill out an Accommodations Request Form for either ADHD, Emotional/Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, or Health Disabilities, which has sections for you, the GED Chief Examiner in your area, and your evaluator. Delaware GED Transcripts
You can get a copy of your Delaware GED transcripts from the Delaware Department of Education Adult Education, GED Records department. Just print and fill out the Delaware GED Transcript Request Form. Follow the instructions on the form, and mail or fax it in to the address or fax number on the form. If you want a duplicate GED certificate, the cost is a $5 money order, and the form must be mailed in. There is no cost for your Official DE GED Transcript.
